Once upon a time there was a young princess. She moved to a military fort to learn fine archery and fencing. While there, she had men seeking her hand everywhere.

Then she went back home. There were no men at home. She felt unloved, cast off. She wanted to feel wanted again. She knew she was being silly and she didn't want to be silly.
Not knowing what to do about the aching, empty, boreing feeling inside of her, she wrote a note to a cute stable boy who used to gaze at her. He didn't respond.
After that, she decided the solution was to take four-month long vows against romance. Wanting to make them official, she went to the vestry and asked the priest for help.
And so she stood in a flower crown and a best gown, in the middle of the chapel and recited the vow she had written as the priest read it off.

Then she went to her father's embassy in a foreign land. She enjoyed man watching more than ever!
